Spreading my love of history and “did you know?!” moments with others is probably one of the best parts of the writer’s gig. I tend to spend book appearances talking about cookware facts, or cool tidbits of oral knowledge I’ve found in odd places. It’s just so much dang fun!
Thankfully there have been some amazing talks in 2018, and I’m thrilled there are still more to come!
Tune in on Monday, November 5 at 12pm CST to Judy Hoberman’s national radio show, Selling in a Skirt. I’ll be chatting with Judy about copper, books, and everything in between. I definitely will be pulling out some awesome cookware trivia. ☺ Should be a total blast!
If you’re not local, you can tune in live through w4wn.com at www.sellinginaskirt.com/on-the-radio/
Or if you’re west coast and want to have a fabulous experience (and just hang out), House Copper is a sponsor of the Garagiste Festival (www.californiagaragistes.com) in Paso Robles. I’ll be there November 9 and 10, drinking wine and hanging out. I may truck some copper pots out west from Wisconsin to show off, but if not, I still am up for chilling with any west coasters who are in the area. I’ll have my good friend and chef/personality, Natasha Feldman of Nosh with Tash (www.noshwithtash.com) along for the fun, too.
And then everyone should take like two weeks off (I wish…though wouldn’t it be nice?!) for a long Thanksgiving holiday season. Gravy cooks really well in copper. Just sayin’.
